Course Description

Only students enrolled in The Simple Essay: Its Organization and Development may opt to participate in the Scoring Services. Enrollment in the service includes detailed comments and suggestions over the composition as well as a scored Writing Rubric.


How Service Works

1. Scoring is based on the Writing Rubric, located as an addendum to The Simple Essay: Its Organization and Development.

2. Completed writing assignment(s) should be emailed to [email protected]. Research papers excluded.

3. Feedback will be returned by email within a week’s time.

Pricing Options

Pricing is subscription-based and dependent upon the number of writings to be scored within a selected time period.

Over the past three decades, Ann has helped hundreds of students make a successful transition into college-level work through her unique style of instruction. Her "down-to-earth" practical approach to teaching makes student learning “real-life.” She is an innovator whose love for learning and helping others learn has motivated her to develop mastery-based instructional materials in the areas of English, math, reading, and writing. Believing that all learning builds on prior knowledge, Ann focuses on building strong foundational skills on which higher levels of learning can be accomplished.
